Sept 29    Erhard and Heidy Hobrecker

Erhard and Heidy Hobrecker, leading Swiss AV workers, will show and talk about their award-winning work. Visitors £6


Oct 13    Basic Computer Skills

Harry Bosworth will cover many basic computer skills for AV workers.

 

Nov 3      A Microphone Workshop

Howard Gregory will lead a workshop demonstrating the effects of different types of microphones and microphone technique.

 
If you have any particular topics you wish Harry or Howard to cover please advise them in advance.

A chance to show your latest work for comments and discussion.

 

The Great Northern AV Weekend 

This is a combined package of great AV events from the Wilmslow Guild AV Group, the Great Northern AV Festival committee and the RPS.

 

Dec 1   The Titanic  Presented by Andrew Lound

Dec 2   The Great Northern AV Competition 

             Now well established as a major AV competition in the U.K., with PGAB patronage.

 

Dec 3    RPS NW AV Day

The final event of the GNW. Workshops, attenders’   sequences, discussions and
guest presenters.

Our main AV competition, open to members irrespective of their qualifications or achievements.

      A chance to show your latest work for comments and discussion.

 

Mar 2 &   The Wilmslow Guild AV Fiesta

Mar 3            (Visitors £6 incl. refreshments)

Our showcase event. A selection of members’ sequences, providing an evening of interest and entertainment for family and friends. (The same programme is shown on both nights.)

 

 Mar 23    Dissect a Sequence

Suzanne Walker ARPS and Howard Gregory will show how they made “Voices from the Past” and “Heatley – My Kind of Place”.

 

April 27   AGM plus Members’ Evening

A (hopefully short) formal meeting followed by sequences based on one of our club outings.

 

May 11    Closed Competition

                   An internal competition with restricted entry.

Titanic – the Return of a Dream with Andy Lound

 

The most famous ocean liner in history must be the Titanic. Her story from conception in 1907 to her rediscovery in 1985 will be told in dramatic fashion by Andy Lound, fully clad in White Star uniform.

 

The presentation will be illustrated by slides, audio and other effects, music and props, making a dramatic and emotional performance. Titanic like you never heard it before. Be prepared for the voyage of your life!

 

Hosted by the Audio-Visual Group as part of the Great Northern Audio-Visual Weekend.

 

Advance booking strongly recommended for all.

 

 Tickets £6 (Members 50p)

Saturday 21st April 2007 Sheffield AV Group St. Peter’s Show
